When All Else Fails, Saute in Olive Oil and Garlic May 17, 2007
Alas, another CSA dilemma. I got my weekly shipment of vegetables from from the Tierra Miguel Farm. I had a load of arugula, garlic, 1 leek, some spinach, and a lemon. I needed to cook this stuff up quickly, because I also received a considerable amount of lettuce and there was no way I was going through it all in one short week. So I just started to saute.
Pan #1: the leek. I cut off the hard green ends and the roots on the white end. Then, I sliced the rest as thin as possible. I then heated up some olive oil and threw in the leak and some chopped garlic. Two minutes later, I had a pan full of goodness.
